Dementia Caregiver Support Group
When: Every Third Tuesday of each Month, beginning Feb,. 20th, 2018
6:30 pm -7:30 pm (ending time may vary as needed)
Where: Theater, Oaks at Braselton- 5373 Thompson Mill Rd, Hoschton, GA 30548
Who: ALL are welcome
Please join us as we learn what to expect as a loved one/caregiver of someone who is living with a dementia diagnosis. Awareness and education play a vital role in navigating the various components of care. Listening to others that are on the journey of dementia and sharing experiences brings a sense of togetherness and comfort.
Facilitated By: Tracy Johnson is a Registered Nurse, Geriatric Care Manager and a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner, serving families in Northeast Georgia. She has a love for caring for those suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementias as well as their families. Tracy has received education and training in multiple programs for dementia care. She has been an Healthcare Director and Executive Director of Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. Tracy is also an adult daughter, caring for her mother-in- law with Alzheimer’s Disease. As an Alzheimer’s support group facilitator, Tracy has resources which she makes available for those attending the caregiver support group.
